Looking to build or further a meaningful career? You’ve come to
the right place. The work you do with us matters. As a member of
our team, your work has a direct impact on our clients and our
communities. Let’s advance the sustainable future of water
together!
West Yost is a great place to work, especially for those who
are just starting their career. We have many technical
experts who are more than willing to mentor younger staff and
provide opportunities for growth. We are encouraged to attend
monthly All Hands meetings and our business sector meetings
to understand all levels of the business. West Yost is a more
than a place to work. It is an employee-owned company
anchored by friends who want to see each other succeed. We
work hard on our shared goal of making the world a better
place, but we also like to have fun. I really enjoy Camp
Sacramento (West Yost hosts employees and their families for
a weekend in the Sierras enjoying games and hiking in the
outdoors) and the annual holiday party and Duck Dinner. We
also have regular happy hours and local office spirit events.

Associate Engineer I
I was the first engineer Bruce and Jim hired when they
started the firm in 1990. It is exciting to see the company
flourish as we continue a successful transition from Bruce
and Jim’s original partnership to the firm we know and love
today…much larger now, yet still a place where individuals
have a huge impact on who we are and where we’re going.
Jeff Pelz, PE
Vice President
My two-year career at West Yost has exceeded all expectations
I had prior to my hire. I cannot convey the feeling of
comradery and accomplishment working with a team of
water-focused engineers who share similar passions. At
West Yost, we do not work “for a firm” we work together as a
team. That feeling of comradery was conveyed to me starting
day one when I met the President of West Yost, Charles
Duncan. Charles knew my name; he knew my story; he gave me a
hand-written welcome card.
Have I mentioned that small firms work on cool projects?

Works Association.
