04.12.13—Senior Engineer, Lani Good, PE,
recently joined West Yost’s Walnut Creek Office. Lani has 13
years of experience in a wide range of wastewater infrastructure
planning and design projects, and she specializes in wastewater
collection system risk assessments, condition assessment,
improvement project prioritization, and regulatory compliance.
03.02.13—Elizabeth Drayer, PE, Engineering
Manager, has been promoted to the position of Pleasanton Office
Manager. Elizabeth has more that 23 years of experience in water
resource planning, including 13 years with West Yost Associates.
Her technical expertise is focused on water system and water
supply master planning, urban water management plans, water
supply assessments and water distribution system planning.
West Yost routinely awards scholarships to qualified students to
attend, free of charge, industry conferences that match our
vision for advancing sustainable water management, including
water, wastewater, and stormwater conferences.
Scholarship recipients receive paid registration to the
conference, paid admission to conference meals, and travel
assistance or reimbursement up to $500. The value of each
scholarship typically ranges from $500 to over $1,000.

09.01.12—West Yost has named Charles Duncan as the
firm’s new President. Charles has been involved in the leadership
of West Yost for over 15 years and previously served as Chief
Operating Officer. Charles’ transition to presidency represents
an exciting new chapter for the firm and builds on West Yost’s
commitment to provide complete water solutions to the communities
we serve.
The City of Atwater Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant was
designed by West Yost Associates to include a variety of energy
efficiency measures to minimize energy consumption. West Yost
coordinated these design initiatives with PG&E’s Savings by
Design program and was effective in securing a PG&E incentive
payment to the City for over $224,000. PG&E recognized the
final project for achieving energy reductions of 294 kW and
2,160,963 kWh.
For the eighth consecutive year, West Yost Associates (West Yost)

The City of Woodland’s ASR Well 28 project was selected for an
American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter,
Project of the Year Award. West Yost is proud to be a part of
this pivotal project to further increase the community’s
sustainable water supply and meet both short- and long-term water
management goals for the City.
Ray Yep joins West Yost Associates (West Yost). With expertise in
business management for municipalities and the private sector,
Ray brings a strategic perspective to keep infrastructure
reliable and affordable for West Yost’s California clients. His
expertise includes planning, management, operations, and asset
management for water and wastewater systems. Most recently, Ray
managed the Water Utility Operations Division at the Santa Clara
Valley Water District for over 10 years prior to his retirement
in 2011.
