Wastewater Treatment Plant is more than just reliable and
effective treatment and disposal of wastewater. It also includes
protecting the surrounding natural environment, habitat, and
groundwater.
Continuing in our leadership role in wastewater planning, design,
and construction management, West Yost staff will be giving eight
presentations at the CWEA 2012 Annual Conference in Sacramento,
April 17-20.
West Yost was proud to sponsor the 28th Biennial Groundwater
Conference and 20th Groundwater Resource Association’s Annual
Meeting in Sacramento this October. Over 230 professionals
representing municipal utilities, irrigation districts, and
private parties attended the two-day conference. Groundwater use
and management continues to provide opportunities and challenges
to our client’s in California. Below, we’ve provided links to

In 2011, West Yost ranked 13 in the Top 22 Nationwide on CE
News’ “Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For” List. We also
received our second "Work Place Excellence" Award from the
Sacramento Area Human Resource Association (SAHRA) and the
Sacramento Bee.
Chris Petersen joins West Yost as a Vice President and
Manager of our Groundwater Resources Program, bringing more than
20 years of experience implementing and securing funding for
groundwater management, aquifer storage and recovery, modeling,
and infrastructure design projects.
The American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter
awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for design of the
City of Davis' East Area Tank Project.
The American Public Works Association's (APWA's) Sacramento
Chapter awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for the
Auburn Ravin Pump Station Project for Placer County. The
design provided a cost conscious solution to the
rehabilitation and expansion of the lift station.
West Yost is assisting the Woodland-Davis Clean Water Agency in
an Owner’s Representative capacity for the program and
Design-Build-Operate (DBO) procurement contract management, water
rights acquisition, public outreach, environmental permitting and
preliminary design of a new regional surface water supply
project. The project will consist of a diversion intake facility
on the Sacramento River, a conveyance pipeline from the intake to
a new 56-mgd capacity water treatment plant, and a pipeline
distribution system to the participants’ service areas.
Construction on the new facilities is expected to begin in 2016.
American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter
awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for the emergency
construction of the South Canal Intertie, completed in record
time for Placer County Water Agency.
