Giving Back for our 30th Anniversary
West Yost kicked off our 30th anniversary in June, 2020! As we celebrate this milestone anniversary we wanted to give back to our communities in a way that supported our Purpose: advancing water resources for future generations. Over the last 12 months, we donated or volunteered with 42 charitable organizations.
Looking for an employer that focuses on your career and giving back? We’re hiring!
We have been inspired to provide resources to organizations dedicated to creating greater resiliency, our health and wellness, and providing educational opportunities in areas relevant to our field: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Water for People
West Yost and Water for People are both celebrating their 30th anniversary. Together, we are working towards similar values and mission. We have been a supporter of Water for People for many years and we have identified their Global Mosaic Challenge as our concluding charitable donation.
Together, we’re building a Global Photo Mosaic to ensure health clinics and communities across Africa, Latin America, and India have safe, reliable water to wash their hands during COVID-19 and beyond. (Did you know 50% of healthcare facilities around the world don’t have piped water and 39% don’t have soap!?) Join West Yost to make a difference!
The 2020 western states wildfire season was, sadly, a historic year of devastation. We have identified two state-wide organizations to support both the emergency response and rebuilding of homes:
Through Tree Davis, West Yost donated the gift of a tree within the City of Davis marking our 30th anniversary. We will be planting our tree together in the Fall of 2021. It is their mission to enhance and expand our urban forest by teaching the people of our community to plant and care for tree
Our talented professionals bring with them diverse experiences and backgrounds which makes us West Yost! We support the future of an accessible STEM education we believe that this will build a stronger future for all of us.
