How West Yost Stays Connected and Inspired

At West Yost, personal connections and quality interactions with our team members, our clients, and the communities we serve are the cornerstone of our success. We recognize that forming connections is the first step on the path towards building trust. We build trust when we collaborate, meet our commitments, create time in our day to actively listen to understand and celebrate and honor our diverse backgrounds and interests.

Interactive Gatherings and Meetings

We prioritize interactive and engaging in-person gatherings and collaborative meetings between teams and departments. We also seek the collaboration of our virtual colleagues with expertly equipped meeting rooms that allow us to see and interact with our team on the screen and around the table. We create unique group challenges and contests to bring fun forward and break up our respective office and meeting routines. We weave in our unique personalities and perspectives, as well as our lived experiences into how we approach challenges and develop creative solutions that earn trust.

We develop robust training and mentorship programs designed to elevate the technical and professional development skills of our teams at all levels aligned to West Yost lived values.

We develop robust training and mentorship programs designed to elevate the technical and professional development skills of our teams at all levels aligned to West Yost lived values. We also launched the West Yost Management and Leadership Academy to increase team morale and retention, improve productivity, enhance communication tools, increase emotional intelligence, and consistently train our future leaders at West Yost. These programs ensure that every team member is equipped with the necessary skills, coaching and mentorship to excel in their roles of today and tomorrow.

Pen Pal Program

In September 2023, we launched a pen pal program that paired team members across all our various offices, including our fully remote team. This initiative encouraged them to write to one another, fostering a sense of camaraderie and connection across geographical boundaries. To this day, pen pals continue to exchange water jokes, trivia, share vacation highlights or kind words of encouragement.

Celebrations

We love to celebrate! We have fun, is a core West Yost value. Be it project milestones, anniversaries, promotions, retirements, holidays, or any other occasion, we never turn down an opportunity to celebrate our individual and collective accomplishments together. These celebrations add a dash of joy to our work environment and strengthen our bond as a team.

West Yost strives to exist outside the conventional definition of a workplace. We strive to be a vibrant hub where minds unfurl, ideas take flight, and innovation is the norm. Our offices do not exist to conduct business, instead they are collaborative spaces where out of the box ideas are encouraged and open exchanges with colleagues inspire and infuse joy.

Working Groups

We established and continue to support a myriad of working groups that are helping to guide the development of programs that support our team members to do the best work of our lives and also allow us to explore new ways to innovate and evolve the way we communicate and deliver on projects. Whether it be technology, hardware, software, or novel approaches and mindsets, we are constantly seeking ways to make West Yost more enjoyable, creative, effective and a great place to work.
