Environmental Recognition Award Won by West Yost
City Council Awarded West Yost for Stewardship in Sustainability
West Yost has been honored by the City of Davis City Council, nominated by the Natural Resources Commission, with receiving the 2021 Environmental Recognition Award in the Business Category, joining over 20 prior recipients.
West Yost was selected for this award not only because of our consulting projects we have undertaken in the City of Davis and our efforts to improve the environment. West Yost was also recognized for our work in the community demonstrating a deep commitment to sustainability and stewardship values through our own operations and workplace culture. West Yost has focused on reducing water consumption, avoiding the use of plastic and paper, and encouraging employees to bike to work or work remotely, as well as to participate in community volunteerism.
West Yost Associates also provides in-kind donations to local non-profits and community groups, such as use of their meeting spaces. In honor of this award, West Yost has selected Tree Davis as the recipient of their 30th Anniversary April 2021 charitable organization and will be planting a Commemorative Tree in the Tree Davis Memorial Grove in the fall as a team event.
