Childspree
Davis Salvation Army

For over 12 years, Lindsay Smith has volunteered for the Davis Salvation Army Childspree Program. The program, which is coordinated and implemented by Lindsay’s mom, Toni Smith, provides nearly 100 Davis schoolchildren with a shopping spree for back-to-school clothes
and supplies each year.

Cakes 4 Kids

Millie Cowley-Crawford, from the Pleasanton office, volunteers her time
with Cake 4 Kids. The organization helps under-privileged kids have a special birthday with special customized cakes. Millie volunteers by making cakes, but you can volunteer in other ways. If you are interested, talk with Millie or check out their website: www.cake4kids.org.

Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Polly Boissevain has been volunteering at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano since 2007. Polly is part of the Friday Boxing Team that boxes up canned goods and staple items for two programs. One program is
Food for Children, which distributes boxes of food monthly to families with children between the ages of 4 and 5 years old. This food helps to fill the gap for families with children who are too old for the federal assistance

City of Roseville, R.E.A.C.H. Fund
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost made a donation to the City of Roseville, Roseville Employees Annual Charitable Hearts (R.E.A.C.H.) Fund.

The mission of the R.E.A.C.H. Fund is to enhance and improve the quality of life for South Placer residents by providing funding opportunities to local non-profit organizations serving the needs of our community’s youth, seniors and families.

Boys & Girls Club of Tracy, CA
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost donated $250 to the Boys & Girls Club of Tracy in support of the “Wild About Kids” Gala. The mission of the Girls and Boys Club is to inspire and enable young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Children’s Emergency Food Bank
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The Dublin San Ramon Services District recommended Children’s Emergency Food Bank (CEFB). Established in 1969, the CEFB has been serving Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, and Danville families in emergency situations. An all-volunteer organization, CEFB provides canned and packaged food as well as gift certificates from local markets to obtain fresh foods.

Team Davis – Community Garden
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of Davis recommended Team Davis. In April, West Yost made a donation to Team Davis to support their mission to help enrich the lives of children and adults with developmental, intellectual and/or physical disabilities living in or close to Davis. West Yost employees and their families also participated in a day of service volunteering in the Team Davis Garden to clean up, spread mulch, mow grass and tend to plants.

Center for Human Services
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of Modesto recommended helping the Center for Human Services. The Center for Human Services serves tens of thousands of children, individuals and families annually in Stanislaus County. Their mission is to change lives and build futures through programs that strengthen and support youth and families.

Friends of Yuba City Parks and Recreation Foundation
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of Yuba City recommended the Friends of Yuba City Parks and Recreation Foundation. In May, West Yost and Yuba City staff participated in a day of service at the Blackburn-Talley Sports Complex. In addition to a monetary donation, that was used to purchase supplies for the park clean up and beautification, our team worked to plant over 30 flowers and other plants and spread mulch in three areas at the sports park.

East Bay MESA Alliance
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost’s Walnut Creek office staff recommended the East Bay MESA Alliance (EBMA) as their office charity of choice. Walnut Creek office employees volunteered as judges for EBMA’s The Walk on Water Competition which engaged community junior high, high school, community college students in a competition to design floating shoes that could be used to cross the length of a swimming pool.

Rialto Youth Collaborative
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients and staff to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of Rialto recommended the Rialto Youth Collaborative. The Rialto Youth Collaborative’s mission is to provide opportunities that strengthen lifelong academic, artistic and social skills for the youth of Rialto. In February, West Yost made a donation to the Rialto Youth Collaborative to send 24 students from the City to visit NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena California.

St. Francis Center
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of Redwood City recommended St. Francis Center. St. Francis Center is a nonprofit organization whose focus is on helping families in need in the Redwood City area and attempts to assist such families in whatever ways will allow them to live in dignity and become self-supporting members of the community. In January, West Yost made a donation to St. Francis Center to help support their mission.

McKenzie River Trust
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients and staff to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. Our Eugene, OR office recommended McKenzie River Trust. McKenzie River Trust’s mission is to protect and care for special lands and the rivers that flow through them in western Oregon. They are a regional land trust, conserving and protecting more than 3,400 acres of land in Oregon and to protect riparian areas on the McKenzie that were vital to the river’s biological integrity and water quality.

Vallejo Together – Homeless Outreach November 2015
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control District recommended helping the Vallejo homeless community. Vallejo Together is a local nonprofit community organization that helps those in need including homeless, senior citizens and veterans.

Northern California Dance Conservatory – ACCESS Dance Program
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The Placer County Water Agency recommended the Northern California Dance Conservatory’s ACCESS Dance Program. ACCESS Dance is a program offering free creative movement classes designed especially for children with disabilities who may need special attention in order to fully experience the joy of movement, self-expression and therapeutic benefits of dance.

Mike Souza of Souza Realty and Development and Les Serpa of Surland Development recommended the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy. Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Bridgeway Play
25 Years of Service

As part of our 25 Years of Service Program, West Yost Associates invited clients to tell us what charitable organizations matter in their communities. The City of West Sacramento recommend the Bridgeway Play Program. In October, West Yost made a donation to Bridgeway Play and delivered a box of candy and other goodies for their Fall Fun Fest. Goin’ for Owen — Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, October 2015
25 Years of Service

As part of West Yost’s 25 Years of Service event, West Yost’s Davis office staff nominated Goin’ for Owen as their office charity of choice. Goin’ for Owen raises funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on behalf of Owen Provencher, the son of one of our former employees. In October, West Yost staff sponsored Heidi Provencher (Owen’s mom) in the Sacramento Actavis+Allergan Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Cycle for Life 5th Anniversary Bike Ride. This unique cycling event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.
