Industry Update: DWR Flood Emergency Response Grants
This is an ongoing grant program administered by DWR who has released the Final Flood Emergency Response Projects – Statewide Grant Round 3 Guidelines and Proposal Solicitation Package (PDF) and is accepting applications. The 90- day application period closes January 29, 2018, and applications are due no later than 5:00 PM on January 29, 2018.
Program Summary:
- Improve flood system maintenance, system rehabilitation, effective emergency response, and sustainable funding
- DWR provides financial assistance through grants to participating/qualified agencies
- Helps ensure local agencies have an adequate flood emergency plan, response capacity, and resources
- Grants can assist counties in Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley who have to abide by Central Valley Flood Protection Act of 2008
