Water Master Plan Update and Recycled Water Evaluation
City of Menlo Park, California

West Yost is working with the City to maximize recycled water as a long-term resource by preparing a multi-faceted water master plan update for the City. In addition to evaluating the City’s water system for its capacity to meet existing demands and future growth, the water supply evaluation included: an assessment of potential sources of recycled water; identification of potential landscape and indoor recycled water users; estimation of recycled water demands; development of preliminary pipeline routes; and development of a capital and operations and maintenance cost estimate. The chapter also included an evaluation on greywater and whether a greywater program would result in potable water demand reduction.
