Northeast Industrial Reservoir & Booster Pump Station
City of Tracy, California

West Yost provided planning, predesign, and design services for a 2.4 MG, partially-buried, prestressed concrete reservoir, a 6 mgd booster pump station, and installation of approximately 2,500 feet of 16-inch transmission main. West Yost’s services included survey and mapping, geotechnical investigation, preparation of documents for CEQA compliance, and permitting with Union Pacific Railroad.

The pump station includes four 75-hp, horizontally mounted, split-case, centrifugal pumps located in a 26 feet by 66 feet enclosed building with a 1.5-ton electric hoist for equipment removal. The reservoir and pump station are set about 5 feet below grade to reduce visibility of the project from future surrounding development. Aesthetic features include a split-face masonry block wall building housing the pump station, with contrasting colored block trim, sloping truss roof, and concrete color tiles. The reservoir design includes a natural shotcrete color finish.
