Marin City Condition Assessment & Rehabilitation Design
Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District, California
West Yost performed a condition assessment of the District’s Marin City collection system of approximately 32,000 feet of gravity sewers and designed approximately 14,000 feet of sewer rehabilitation and repairs.
As part of the condition assessment, West Yost reviewed CCTV inspection data and completed the condition assessment in accordance with National Steel and Shipbuilding Company’s (NASSCO’s) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program. Following evaluation and prioritization of necessary capital improvement projects, West Yost designed approximately 14,000 feet of sewer rehabilitation and repairs. About 8,000 feet of existing 6-inch pipe was removed and replaced with new 8-inch pipe. Approximately 3,000 feet of sewer was replaced and upsized using trenchless pipebursting construction methods and approximately 3,000 feet of sewer was lined with the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) method.
