Design and CM for Valley Glen Stormwater Pump Station
City of Dixon, California

West Yost performed a master drainage study for the City and subsequently assisted the City in designing and constructing a number of infrastructure projects including the Valley Glen Stormwater Pump Station. The 156 cfs stormwater pump station included trench style concrete wetwell, mechanical “flexrake” trash rack, four propeller duty pumps with low speed motors, and one low flow pump.

Standby power included an 800 kW generator, automatic transfer switch, concrete fuel tank, and a load bank. The project included a masonry support building with electric room and maintenance room. Discharge pipes were through a Division of Dam Safety regulated levee. Site work including access roads, grading, site paving, precast concrete soundwalls, lights, fencing, water lines, and site drainage.

West Yost provided construction management/inspection under an accelerated construction schedule which included interim stormwater pumping facilities in order to accept stormwater 10 weeks after breaking ground.
