Project

Bay Point Sewer Rehabilitation
Delta Diablo Sanitation District, California

West Yost provided engineering services for the replacement and rehabilitation of existing 8-inch and 12-inch diameter sewer mains at various locations within the Bay Point Area of Pittsburg, California.

The project included approximately 3,100 feet of open-cut construction in a densely populated residential area. West Yost evaluated and specified various trenchless rehabilitation methods such as spiral-wound PVC liner, cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP), and pipe-bursting along with traditional open cut construction. Construction constraints included school zones, backyard access, and active and historic fuel transmission lines. Construction was completed in May 2006.
