Downtown Sewer Replacement Project
City of Yuba City, California

West Yost designed the relocation, replacement, and/or rehabilitation of existing sewers in the City’s downtown residential area to address structural deficiencies, maintenance issues, and system reliability. The existing sewers were installed nearly 100 years ago and could not be cleaned or maintained due to pipe fragility and lack of access. The challenges of replacing these backyard sewers included access, public outreach, homeowner coordination, design approach, and construction methods for rerouting sewer laterals.

City of Woodland, California

West Yost provided the predesign, design, and construction management and inspection for a partially buried, 3 MG potable water concrete storage tank and a 6,000 gpm booster pump station located in the City’s David Douglass Park.

Aquifer Storage and Recovery Wells
City of Roseville, California

The objective of Roseville’s Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Program is to store surplus drinking water (10,000 acre-feet per year) in the underlying aquifer during periods of normal and above normal precipitation. This stored drinking water is then extracted and served to meet peak demands. West Yost provided design and construction management services for two ASR wells for the City.

West Yost provided planning, design engineering and full-time onsite construction management services for the expansion of the City’s wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).

Construction Management for Design/Build of Wastewater Treatment Plant
Mountain House Community Services District, California

Mountain House’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) was built in three phases and completed by means of a design-build project delivery method. West Yost provided full-time, onsite construction management (CM) services for all three phases of the project, which consisted of a new and subsequently expanded WWTP, civil/site work, roadways, utilities, and appurtenant facilities.

Construction Management for Water Treatment Plant and Subsequent Expansion
Mountain House Community Services District, California

West Yost provided construction management (CM) and inspection services for the new water treatment plant and subsequent expansion of the plant to 15 mgd. West Yost’s construction management included successfully addressing continuous operations during construction, shut downs and tie-ins, site safety and security, and complex electrical system integration.

Jamieson Canyon Water Treatment Plant Improvements
City of Napa, California

West Yost provided construction management (CM) and inspection services for this $38 million water treatment plant (WTP) improvements project. The three-year CM project expanded the Jamieson Canyon WTP from 12 mgd average/16 mgd maximum to 20 mgd average/24 mgd maximum capacity. West Yost’s CM team included construction management, resident engineering, inspections, and administrative services, as well as support expertise in process engineering, scheduling, and cost estimating.

14-Mile Slough Pump Station
City of Stockton, California

West Yost provided design and construction management services to expand the existing 14-Mile Slough Pump Station (14-MSPS) by nearly 700%. This project represents one of the largest trench-style wetwell pump stations in California. The award-winning pump station upgrade increased reliable pumping capacity from 3.75 mgd to 14 mgd, and with a buildout capacity of 22.5 mgd.

Design/Build Program and Construction Management Collection System 9
City of Stockton, California

West Yost assisted the City with a design-build for a $14 million project to extend sewer lines to an undeveloped area in northeast Stockton. West Yost served as the City’s representative to complete 30 percent design, right of way acquisition, design build team procurement, and construction management services. Construction management services included all contract administration, full-time onsite construction monitoring, and all closeout activities.

Construction Management for Valley Glen Stormwater Pump Station
City of Dixon, California

West Yost provided construction management/inspection under an accelerated construction schedule for this 156 cfs stormwater pump station, which included trench style concrete wetwell, mechanical “flexrake” trash rack, four propeller duty pumps with low speed motors, and one low flow pump. Construction was completed 10 weeks after breaking ground to provided the interim stormwater pumping facilities needed to accept stormwater.

Dry Creek Levee Relocation
City of Roseville, California

West Yost provided planning, analysis, environmental review, permitting, design, and construction management services for the Dry Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Pond Levee Relocation. This project included the hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations of setting the pond levees 100 feet back from the Dry Creek bank in order to provide 100-year protection of the wastewater storage ponds while enhancing the flow-carrying capacity of Dry Creek in an environmentally sensitive manner.
