Engineers Without Boarders - Belize

About the Project:

Mandy Ott is the Project Manager for a 3-year, Engineers Without Boarders project in Sarteneja, Belize. The project is a drainage project for the Sarteneja coastal community of about 2,000 people. Every year the town experiences extreme flooding which can inundated some local houses with up to 5-feet of water. With this comes the obvious concerns of health, sanitation, safety, and loss of belongings in an already impoverished community.
