03.02.13—We are pleased to announce that Elizabeth Drayer,
Engineering Manager, has been promoted to the position of
Pleasanton Office Manager. Elizabeth has more that 23 years of
experience in water resource planning, including 13 years with
West Yost Associates. Her technical expertise is focused on water
system and water supply master planning, urban water management
plans, water supply assessments and water distribution system
planning.
For the eighth consecutive year, West Yost Associates (West Yost)
is proud to announce that we are one of the top firms to work for
as determined by the CE (Civil Engineering) News’ Best Firms to
Work For competition. With firms from across the nation competing
for “Best Firm” in 2012, West Yost ranked ninth for firms of all
sizes throughout the U.S.
The City of Woodland’s ASR Well 28 project was selected for an
American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter,
Project of the Year Award. West Yost is proud to be a part of
this pivotal project to further increase the community’s
sustainable water supply and meet both short- and long-term water
management goals for the City.
Ray Yep joins West Yost Associates (West Yost). With expertise in
business management for municipalities and the private sector,
Ray brings a strategic perspective to keep infrastructure
reliable and affordable for West Yost’s California clients. His
expertise includes planning, management, operations, and asset
management for water and wastewater systems. Most recently, Ray
managed the Water Utility Operations Division at the Santa Clara
Valley Water District for over 10 years prior to his retirement
in 2011.
Protecting the environment at the City of Roseville’s Dry Creek
Wastewater Treatment Plant is more than just reliable and
effective treatment and disposal of wastewater. It also includes
protecting the surrounding natural environment, habitat, and
groundwater.
In 2012, with firms from across the nation competing for “Best
Firm”, West Yost ranked No. 9 for firms of all sizes throughout
the U.S. in CE (Civil Engineering) News’ top ten list of “Best
Engineering Firms to Work For”.
The American Public Works Association’s (APWA’s) Sacramento
Chapter awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for the
Auburn Ravin Pump Station Project for Placer County. The
design provided a cost conscious solution to the
rehabilitation and expansion of the lift station.
American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter
awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for the emergency
construction of the South Canal Intertie, completed in record
time for Placer County Water Agency.
The American Public Works Association (APWA), Sacramento Chapter
awarded West Yost a Project of the Year award for design of the
City of Davis’ East Area Tank Project.
Chris Petersen joins West Yost as a Vice President and
Manager of our Groundwater Resources Program, bringing more than
20 years of experience implementing and securing funding for
groundwater management, aquifer storage and recovery, modeling,
and infrastructure design projects.
Jon Wells, PE has joined West Yost as a Senior Engineer in
our Walnut Creek office. Jon brings 10 years of engineering
experience with specialized expertise in water and wastewater
system master planning, hydraulic modeling, and geographic
information system (GIS) analysis.
