West Yost is working with the six county Northern Sacramento
Valley Regional Water Management Group (NSV RWMG) on their first
collaborative Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP).
Prior to the commencement of the current project in October 2011,
West Yost developed options for a regional planning governance
structure (including the governance structure adopted by the
client), prepared a technical memorandum of future project
financing options, prepared a successful U.S.
West Yost prepared a Region Acceptance Process (RAP) grant
eligibility application and submitted it to DWR on behalf of the
Westside Region member agencies, which include the Water
Resources Association of Yolo County (WRA), Solano County Water
Agency, Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District, Lake County Watershed Protection District, and Colusa
County Resource Conservation District (RCD).
West Yost provided an update and refinement to the Fresno
Metropolitan Water Resources Management Plan (Metro Plan), which
includes a key focus on conjunctive use for long-term supply
reliability and sustainability.
The Napa County 2050 Integrated Water Resources Plan represents
several municipalities seeking to develop sustainable water
supply portfolios involving surface, groundwater, and recycled
water resources. The Napa County 2050 Water Resources Study
combined West Yost staff’s institutional framework skills
together with its technical and scientific capabilities to
develop a multi-agency plan for long-term water resource
management. The project required close coordination with the
Water Resources Technical Advisory Committee, and coordination
with a number of state and federal agencies.
West Yost was part of the consultant team that helped develop the
2007 Yolo County IRWMP, a multi-jurisdictional planning document.
Subsequently, West Yost worked directly for the WRA on 2010
project updates to the 2007 Yolo County IRWMP projects list. West
Yost prepared a combined Proposition 50, Round 2, Step 1 grant
application for several proponents of projects contained in the
Yolo County IRWMP.
West Yost prepared an Integrated Water Resources Plan (IWRP) that
linked water supply needs to an integrated evaluation of all
aspects of available water resources and conveyance/transmission
and treatment facilities, to create a single flexible plan which
could be adopted by the Board and implemented by staff.
